Immerse yourself in a big-screen audio-visual experience with the greatest moments in music ever captured on film. Host Alysha Main will take the audience on a journey through the liner notes and deep cuts from the most beloved music documentaries and concert films, with a live performance by a musical guest. Alysha Main Alysha Main is a Music Supervisor, Event Manager, DJ, and Podcaster who has been working in the entertainment industry for 20 years. Her career has taken her to Toronto, London, and Melbourne, working in Artist Management, Event Promotion, Sales, and Marketing. She is the creator and host of the Hamilton Film podcast, documenting the local film industry, and the co-founder of The Hamilton Ladies of Film & TV. In 2017 she shifted her focus to Music Supervision, studying at Berklee College of Music, and working on film and TV projects in Canada and the USA. In 2022 she joined the team at the historic Westdale theatre as Venue & Events Manager. Featuring musical guest Chris Altmann Originally from the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, Chris now resides in Hamilton, Ontario. A lifelong desire to master the instruments of the music he loves, Chris started piano at age 5, banjo at 10, and pedal steel at 18. Along his journey he has embraced many musical styles; from country rock group The Drowners, to the more modern pop/rock sound of The Vandas, and onto a solo career steeped in Americana. He is now an in-demand session player, appearing on dozens of recordings, and a touring musician performing with Tim Hicks, Blue Rodeo, Henry Wagons, Michelle McAdorey and Ginger St. James, among many others. He has been nominated twice by the Canadian Country Music Association for Pedal Steel Guitar Player of the Year. Featuring Barnett’s unguarded narration from her audio diary, recorded on a dictaphone provided by filmmaker Danny Cohen, the film delivers frank and unprecedented insight into Barnett’s creative process, the sacrifices and inner conflicts set in motion by fame, and the sometimes dark backdrop to her whimsical, relatably poetic compositions.
