Hamilton Originals Tim Tickner

Stream on YouTube Stream on Facebook

The Westdale knows about being an original.  The iconic theatre debuted in 1935 as Hamilton’s first cinema equipped to show ‘talkies’ – motion pictures with sound.  Fast forward 85 years and The Westdale is buzzing with excitement to announce that Hamilton Originals, its response to the pandemic that premiered in July 2020, is heading back to the stage to do some talking with sound.  Hamilton Originals invites musicians with a solid connection to Hamilton to talk with host Mike McCurlie and play some tunes.  The show was popular online in 2020, garnering over 50,000 views, and now will add a live studio audience to the streaming format.

Tim Tickner. You’ll remember that name once you get to know Tim. Head music writer for The Air Company, Canada’s largest producer of national TV and radio spots. Composer of film scores and TV shows, and producer of stars like Diana Ross. He’s lived on a boat in the Pacific and in a tee pee in Colorado. He’s now back home in the Hammer, blazing new trails into the very future of music composition. Watch and learn how amazing scores and videos are now produced on Tim’s iPad. He’s a very modern, very mad music alchemist, and surely one of the most original musicians we’ve had on Hamilton Originals!

You can stream the show LIVE on Facebook or YouTube, or you can buy a ticket to be part of the LIVE studio audience!

Please note that the show will be live-streamed from the theatre.  By attending in person, you consent that your voice and/or likeness may be recorded.  There will be cameras in the audience and some seats may have a partial obstruction.
