I am Enough

Borrowing from the Musical theatre and contemporary songbook, I AM ENOUGH is a cabaret based on the life of one ordinary woman living with extraordinary life experiences.

Starring Sherry Garner, she tells the story of her life raising two exceptional daughters as a single mom, one with Down Syndrome, all while living with Bipolar Disorder. She takes you on a musical ride celebrating the highs and lows over the past 50 years. This show was originally presented to a sold-out audience in November 2022 in order to celebrate her 50th birthday. I AM ENOUGH promises to be a night full of stories and fantastic music and lots of laughter.

What will make this evening unique and one to remember is what happens in the second half of the performance. Audiences will be treated to a “Coffee Talk”; an opportunity for the audience to meet the artists as well as mental health professionals to continue the conversation around mental health awareness.

With musical direction by local musician Patrick Bowman and direction by Dundas based, internationally renowned director and playwright Marcia Kash, this will be a night to celebrate the power and beauty of a community that raised her up when she needed it most.

SHERRY GARNER

Sherry Garner is a professional musical theatre actress whose career has spanned more than 25 years. She has performed in leading roles at theatres throughout the country including Hamilton’s own Theatre Aquarius (The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins). It was during one of her contracts in the city that she fell in love with the lifestyle it had to offer and she and her family decided to make Hamilton Home. She is a proud member of the Westdale community and is thrilled to be presenting this labour of love at the Westdale Theatre.
