The rural Canadian town of Valentine’s Bluffs has a dark secret. 20 years ago, during the town’s annual Valentine’s Day dance, one of the town’s many mines collapsed. This was due to the whole town being busy with the dance, and no one bothering to check the methane levels in the mine, which inevitably lead to an explosion. Harry Warden (Peter Cowper) is the sole survivor, and is forced to resort to cannibalism to survive, which causes him to go insane. When the town announces the dance will be returning after a 20-year hiatus, Warden begins a string of killings on those he deems responsible for the accident.
