Award-winning writer, producer and executive producer Robert Wertheimer has been involved in film and television production since he crashed the Cannes Film Festival while still a broke undergraduate film student from Montreal.

Awards: Due South (Best Continuing Series, Banff International Television Festival Rockie Award; Chrysler Canada Award for Most Popular Television Series; Best Dramatic Television Series Gemini Award), Sam & Me (Cannes Film Festival International Critics Award Special Mention), Bollywood/Hollywood (Best Original Screenplay).

His easily transportable skill set has led him to visit Vietnam, Argentina, the Caribbean, India, the Philippines, Mexico, South Africa and throughout Canada and the United States. Recently, he line -produced the Salman Rushdie’s Midnight’s Children shot entirely in Sri Lanka and he just completed for The Discovery Channel – Capsized, Blood in the Water – made for this year’s Shark Week.

Currently, Robert is involved in the development of a number of film and television projects and serves on the board of the Toronto Writer’s Collective as well as being the co-owner of TestBench Technologies, a new fintech software start-up company.


Fred is an independent film & television producer focusing on the development, financing, and production of films and television series for international audiences. He spent 20 years living and working in California, 10 years as the President of American Zoetrope Studios and was Executive Producer of 17 feature films including The Godfather Part III, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, The Secret Garden, Don Juan De Marco, The Virgin Suicides and John Grisham’s The Rainmaker. He was the Executive Director of Arts and Entertainment at the CBC in Toronto where he was responsible for developing, commissioning and supervising production of major television series. Current feature projects include: LITTLE ITALY, MONKEY BEACH, THE VIRTUOSO, and MILTON’S SECRET.
