Relax, I’m From The Future

Q+A screening on Oct. 3 with director Luke Higginson!

Based on a same-name 2013 short from Higginson, Relax follows Casper (Darby), a charming, but embarrassingly underprepared time traveler, now trapped in the past. When he befriends Holly (Graham), a jaded drifter, she helps him exploit his trivial knowledge of the future for a series of quick payouts, oblivious to the consequences they have set in motion. When tracked down by a more competent time traveler, Casper and Holly are forced to figure out what they mean to each other and whether the future they’ve threatened is even worth saving. Will they embrace their fate, or do they have the courage to change it?

Luke Higginson is a graduate of Ryerson University’s Film program, and has written and directed several short films. One of these was the short film version of Relax, I’m From The Future, and was an official selection of the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.

Luke also works as a professional film and TV editor. He has cut 8 feature films (including Wander from Relax, I’m From the Future producer’s James van der Woerd and Tim Doiron) and dozens of shorts, often appearing on-set as a creative consultant and being heavily involved from Pre-Production to Post.
